Grilled Sourdough Cheese Sandwich with Broccoli

Step by Step

  • Boil water in a pot. Add broccoli and steam for 3-5 min. Drain and let cool for 2 min. 

  • Preheat a nonstick fry pan over medium-low heat.

  • Place cheddar cheese and steamed broccoli florets between 2 slices of bread. 

  • Once the frying pan is hot, drizzle with half of the olive oil, slightly tilt the pan back and forth to evenly spread the oil.

  • Pace the sandwich in the pan, cover with a lid and cook for 2 min until the bottom is golden. Then lift the sandwich with a spatula and add the remaining oil. Flip the sandwich and cook the opposite side until golden. Serve with cucumber
